My only question here is how much of this is bullshit by Woodward that he made up, because it's not the first time.
A lot of this reads as bullshit: poopy pants Trump can't control his temper so he wants to attack Iran and seize control of nuclear weapons.
Given the fact that Trump openly refused to attack Iran despite multiple justifiable reasons to do so (even his assassination of Solemani was in Iraq), I don't buy a lot of this.
It's honestly difficult to say. A lot of it reads like hand-waving justifications to, from what I can tell, conduct a coup d'etat against the Trump administration.
Even if they did nothing with it, that's not exactly a great precedent to set, is it?
What if he wins again in 2024? Is the Pentagon just going to turn around to the US population and say "Wrong answer, try again"?
I hope so too, but let's posit some hypotheticals:
The 2024 election is won by either Trump or deSantis. Some populist type that the DNC hates rather than some tame lapdog who's content to take the "best loser" paycheck.
The outgoing Harris administration uncovers evidence of massive fraud in key swing states. It's conveniently left out of all of the reporting who was conducting the fraud, or for whom it was being conducted.
Gen. Mark Milley (or his replacement) announces that US military forces will remain under the command of President Harris until such time as the irregularities can be resolved, by new elections if necessary. It's necessary for the chain of command to be legitimate and to be seen to be legitimate, you see.
I can't point to any one of those and go "Nahh, never happen"

I hope the answer is no.

I can't consider that as impossible either.
