It won't stop the machine.
All they care about is reaching their goal of keeping everyone under complete authoritarian control.
If this isn't a depopulation plan or some globalist agenda, then it's most certainly a sign of the sheer incompetence and corruption of the entire western world. A bureaucratic nightmare of mendacious and rapacious megalomaniacs who believe they know what's best for everyone, and they should shut their damn mouths and do what their told by their betters.
How society has fallen so far that there's actually massive amounts of people cowering in fear over the sniffles and begging for these assholes to take their rights, I'll truly never understand.
I don't personally like the prospect of death. It's not something I'm looking forward to if I'm being brutally honest, but there's no way that I can live in fear of something that I have a 99.95% chance of surviving. There's no scenario where that makes any practical sense. At the same time, if that's my luck and it happens, then what can I do? Clearly it was my time.
Those who are cowering in fear and terrified are desperately trying to exert control over something that they'll never have any control over. It's arrogant and retarded.
I love my life; however, what's the point in being blessed with it if I can't even live it in a meaningful way?
We've become so soft as a society that we're terrified of anything that has any sort of risk involved. We're creating a civilization that wants the world bubble wrapped to protect them from absolutely everything — even things that make them feel uncomfortable.
There was a time when plagues literally ravaged the earth. I have no doubt that the average person was scared then as well, but I'm also sure that it didn't stop them from living. They didn't have that luxury when survival literally depended on it.
At this point, we need some sort of singularity event that wakes people up and reminds them that comfort is ephemeral. Otherwise, I don't see a real path into the future with a society of trembling cowards. Whatever happens moving forward, there's no questioning the fact that it's our choices that lead us there — not some unfortunate series of events.
Sorry for the long and relatively pointless rant.

Sometimes it feels even worse, it feels as if we are encouraging and rewarding people for living in sheer and absolute terror of the imaginary version of the world which exists only in their heads.

It's a nice morale boost to see that you aren't the only one out there that is fed up with this shit.
