Accidentally Based
FDR had already engaged Japan in unrestricted geoeconomic warfare. The American right died at Pearl Harbor.
All they needed was to just stop invading China. Then they would develop themselves on the islands peacefully, just like they did after being obliterated in WWII ("build back better", but really).
Other than America's support for the chicoms, why was it America's problem the Japanese invaded China?
America supported the Chinats (also with volunteers).
The chinats were used as shield for the chicoms, and after the japs had sufficiently weakened them support was pulled at a critical moment to facilitate Mao's rise. Why was any of this an American problem?
