If they're banning users for political reasons

That I'm not sure about. If anyone knows anything, I would certainly like to hear more about this, because I haven't kept up with what has happened with Newgrounds over the years.

I do know that when Tumblr banned porn in 2018 Newgrounds tried to attract NSFW illustrators and their fans. I could definitely see that changing the culture of the site given the kind of people who used (and use) Tumblr, and I don't doubt some of them could have wormed their way into staff positions.
