It's becoming rare to find a dumb tv in a real world store. I may have to aim for a computer monitor when my current tv craps out, if I can find one with decent port access. Hopefully "smart" never comes to monitors.
Stop watching TV. Don't need to buy one.
Game consoles need some kind of tv. The hardware doesn't necessitate a habit of sitcom viewing.
Game consoles work great on a computer monitor. I have one that has composite and component input and S-video in addition to VGA and DVI.
It's even got picture in picture.
Yeah, I might have to shop for such a monitor. Double checked all the monitors in my house right now and none of them have the right port jacks.
I didn't really care about it that much until I realized just how bad these modern digital tvs are. Had a really nice crt but it got fucked in a flood, so was forced to "upgrade".
a smart monitor would be redundant. but Apple does get idiots to pay 3x more for stuff.
I guess the HDR monitors are kind of "smart"? Proprietary tech to connect to proprietary tech.
Is it a coincidence that houses not in a ghetto cost 3x more?
