Fair enough, I really don't have a clue as to what's going on there.
As to where I am, there isn't much to do. Day-to-day life hasn't changed much; I think I've had to put on a mask twice in the last year and a half. But when there is even a hint of my local gov trying to pull some shit I get on the phone and go to hearings. I'm not the only one, either, and it works. We haven't had to resort to martyring ourselves but I wouldn't put it past some if it ever came to that.
The first person to do so would get smeared, as would the second. I think by the time a third person does something people will start to pick up on why a few are fighting back. This is on a local level. Jan 6 was a farce and the people who went didn't understand that things happening in your own backyard matter a hell of a lot more than things happening in DC.
Again, I don't know what's happening there. You don't need an outright revolution, though. In a world where half a dozen nobodies on twitter can make a headline and influence lawmakers think about what half a dozen people who stand up for themselves could do.
You definitely have a better grasp of what's happening, being a native and all, but I hope you are wrong.
Brother, we argue about the the same things. I have very little left to lose and "fuck around and find out" is real. Seriously, I know I am on a list and might as well cop to it.
Sheep also bow to local nonsense. I don't know man. I really wish you the best and its horrible I can't even help.
