She's not wrong here. There's an unholy alliance of religious conservatives and SWERFs (Sex-Worker-Excluding Radical Feminists) going around scouring adult content platforms for underage content and trafficking victims.
Since there's basically no way any platform can possibly allow user submitted content and completely verify that this sort of stuff never makes it onto their platform / doesn't get promptly deleted in 100% of cases, these groups present their findings to banks.
Banks don't take kindly to being told they're processing payments for sex slavers, so once they're on a company's ass about this, there's basically nothing a company can do to appease them other than say goodbye to half their business.
All of that said, I don't think you're wrong, either. If were purely a conservative group doing this, and not radfems as well, I believe it would 100% be ignored.
i think the financial companies are more keen on censorship these day,s for Any reason.
They had a taste of power and will not let it go. This is why it was so shocking and disgusting the first time they were allowed to do this. They will continue to exercise their newfound powers more and more now.
