TL;DW The Mighty Jingles is well known for doing commentary on Wargamings World of Tanks and World of Warships matches by showing off replays of other players and giving commentary on the matches and sometimes the devs. Well he covers events that happened since Tuesday with the non-pology put out on Tuesday and how Wargaming doubles down on trying to force as many players as possible to buy the Missouri battleship through loot boxes. He also points out in the replay he shows in this video about some of the persistent bugs that have not been fix by the Wargaming that are causing problems for many players.
Lastly his plan which is talked about at the end of the video is about sending in complaints to PEGI and ESRB about the current rating of the game to have re-evaluated on its age rating because of the gambling mechanics that are being forced down the player bases throats. He points out how just complaining on the forums and on social media is not going to fix the problem.
Hell, I used to play WoT over a decade ago, I started out back in the open beta, and Wargaming was generally understood to be a scummy company even back then.
The Mighty Jingles, who came to prominence as a World of Tanks PC content creator, has barely even played or created comtent for either World of Tanks or World of Warships for years.
In fact, I'm not really sure what content he creates now. I used to watch his weekly Mingles with Jingles videos, but he seems to mostly get by these days talking about his personal life, his nerd hobbies like making models and by commenting on controversies in the gaming community in general.
I used to be a paying and fairly active Word of Tanks Console player until the developers royally fucked up the UI and the game mechanics with a complete game overhaul last December.
I think that creators like Jingles are probably technically in the right, but also come off as a bit full of themselves and entitled.
Yes, loot box mechanics suck. But these controversies mostly center around collectors not being able to outright buy some ridiculously priced limited premium edition version of a tank or ship or skin that only gives slight advantages in a Free to Play game. The anger is mostly about "not being able to collect them all" and people not being able to handle the FOMO when the latest shiny " limited edition" releases in an endless series of new releases of bloated premium vehicle collections and power creep.
