Used to just be under KiA on Reddit. And there was a growing distrust between the users and mods but the spark which lit the tinderbox was a community vote.
You see the mods wanted to start censoring a bunch of "off-topic" content. But, we didn't agree that the content was off-topic nor did we agree with their removing it. So the mods put together a vote on the off-topic posts rule. Option 1 was to keep the rule as-is, and still too harsh for many users. Options 2-4 were progressively increased censorship. The users overwhelmingly voted for option 1, but the mods essentially said "fuck you we're doing option 3 anyway"
This was the last straw for many and has us see KiA1 as a lost cause. Antonio had been holding onto KiA2 for a while and opened it up to the refugees.
