I love Spider-Man. Everything post-Andrew Garfield SM has been shit. Probably a lot even before.

Now that I think about it, you may be right. MCU spiderman is obv not canon peter parker. Just starting anew with Miles Morales, keeping Peter (teasing that Toby is in another dimension) would have kept that spiderman hype train going.
