I've honestly been a bit confused on why Simon Biles is making the news so much. Then a friend pointed out the US isn't doing as well in medals. They lead in gold's, but not overall.

I just think the Olympics died before out very eyes this year. Sort of feel bad for Japan. Probably won't make their money back.
Has any olympics made their money back in the past 20 years?
I think only the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Otherwise it just results in expensive stadiums and other buildings slowly rotting.
Most countries don't. It's been mounting for a while.
