There is a such thing as being too lazy to write an original black character or adapting one from a book/comic book. Much easier to take classic characters and change their race.
Or with new period pieces. Why not do research about black people in Europe from centuries past? Makes more sense than swapping historical figures. Just like it was dumb for white people to play roles of minorities in the past.
Remember
when you see a White character getting replaced by a Black character,
when you see a male character getting replaced by a female character,
when you see a female character's sexuality getting defeminized,
when you see a straight character getting replaced by a LGBTwhatever character,
that a group of anti-White anti-male satanic rootless cosmopolitans did this.
There is no such thing as blackwashing
There no such thing as whitewashing either then.
When people make characters darker it's for representation. When people make characters lighter it's for erasure.
There is no blackwashing, but there is whitewashing.
And Nollywood is erasure blackwashing and whitewashing is for representation?
