Here's what pisses me off: You want to quit your individual events? Fine. Your competitors will "respect" that, and probably even thank you behind your back because you've given them a greater chance to win + medal.
But what she did was quit in the middle of a TEAM event, when her TEAM still needed her, because "Waaaah, I didn't get the perfect score I wanted for being the GOAT! Waah waah waah."
I think that's fucking pathetic. She let them down. She knows she let them down, and then she has the fucking audacity to go up to them afterwards, tell them her plans without any prior discussion, and then expect them to "hug it out", and still congratulate her on being "OMG, girlboss, you're the greatest evah!"
Fucking narcissistic, selfish arsehat. And then the media, even over here on the other side of the world, are attacking anyone who dares to call her out on this, or point out a) how selfish she is, and b) the fact that, uhh, if you're really "the greatest ever", you should probably have just a smidgen more mental toughness than to fail quite like this...
Same with Ash Barty down here. She is technically Aboriginal (and female), so she's a "protected species", lol. Despite crashing out. Oh, and Osaka too. Perhaps even more so, being a Haifu/Hapa, lol...
