I'm worried about this for obvious reasons, but I'll be damned if the trailer, and the director's breakdown of said trailer, don't make me a bit optimistic. The fact that the director is Reitman's son is also a good sign. Again, I'm worried because I know how Hollyweird likes to shit up old franchises, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Anyone else have hopes or concerns?

Not going to bother even googling the trailer. There is no need. All big budget western media made after Avatar: The Last Airbender, is poison.
On top of that, I am convinced that the only reason The Last Airbender slipped through the cracks is because there are no white people in it.
Even the CCP produces better media than hollywood now.
Do you have a year you generally don’t cross? I’ve reached the point where I stay away from stuff after 2014. Only two exceptions are Yellowstone and Better Call Saul
2014 seems accurate. 2 years for preparing propaganda for the 2016 elections.
