The infamous butchered He-Man reboot had reminded me about this idea for a comic accurate cybersix animated series, where along with fighting techno's, fixed ideas, and the mad scientist's other creatures, she would also be fighting allied terrorists and criminal gangs who are working with him.
Unfortunately, the franchise is extremely prone to being highjacked to promote regressive leftist propaganda as said mad scientist is an escaped Nazi war criminal, meaning there would likely be attempts by said extremists to push conspiracy theories about neo-nazis/white supremacists.
It's a shame, though do you guys have any other examples of franchises that are vulnerable to this bullshit?
Cybersix is an interesting one. If I recall there was more risque stuff in the original, i think South American comic, that I never read. I think there's enough material between the comic and the cartoon to turn it into an abomination for sure. Plus it has some cult status, making it a good target. Her disguising herself as a man leaves it open to all kinds of LBGT crap. G. I. Joe though would probably be the worst if Leftist really wanted to reboot it. I know they are doing the Snake Eyes movie. But I mean it already had so much multiculturalism, so pushing more and harder, they would have a ready made excuse. being military they could address the Middle East and Islamophobia, don't ask don't tell, Cobra Commander wearing that hood could very easily be conflated with some Klan stuff. Just, I'm honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet. I'm sure it has to some degree in the comics, I believe I've seen videos of some questionable stuff. But given how iconic and all American the series is, how popular, how pro-military. It would be horrific to be sure to see SJWS go full-bore and mainstream with it.
I used to like Cybersix and that's one of the first things I thought about.
Her gender-swap disguise would make her ripe for being turned either into a tranny or a lesbian (or maybe even both).
Says on wiki it's Argentinian, which I think makes sense, if I recall, Von Richter maybe spent some time there? I remember looking for translations over the years and think there were European, Franco Belgian market ones, so probably got translated into Italian. Still no English. EDIT The comics were originally published in Italy on the magazine Skorpio. Ok so now I'm not sure, Argentinian creators but making it for the Italian market?
