It's obvious that Bernie's instincts towards the opposition are far healthier than the rest of the left who are only interested in silencing and purging the other side. Still, it's hard to imagine him bridging any sort of divide unless he's magically able to get the rest of the left to talk to their opponents and concede they have a right to a seat at the table. They can't even do that for other leftists who stray even a tiny bit from the party line. The TERF/tranny wars are incredibly typical of how leftists treat dissent within their own camp. As someone who considered myself a moderate leftist for a long time I actually found it easier to converse across the isle than with my own side for this reason. It says a lot about the left's mentality that my former leftist self found the GG community, including the right wing members of the movement, far more welcoming than the "tolerant and inclusive" communities run by own side.
I would love to have a beer with Bernie and talk things over. I would bring Thomas Sowell's Vision of the Annointed on him and lay down the truth. I was a YUGE Bernie supporter in 2015/2016, contributing a now embarrassingly large ammount to his campaign. Paying attention to the DNC corruption and media complicantcy made me open up and give Trump an honest look once he got elected and I even voted for Trump in 2020 (voted 3rd party in 2016). If I had Bernie's ear I would start with that - the fact that I was a big supporter at the start.

you might want to start with Basic Economics
Lesson one: Bring your copy of Das Kapital. Throw it into the fire.
Well, now I'm just lost. Am I bring Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell, or am I bringing Economics In One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt?
