its political but with slightly different angle: gotta look like savior of economics of country "look, we got rid of covid, we are back in business" and they know that ppl now believe wholly what media told em that vaccines will prevent spreading virus (which vaccines do not do, but parrots tend to parrot) so vaccinated populace is whats needed in eyes of voters for fully opening up ; and there really is ppl who now believe that covid-vaccine is miracle cure
