One of them thinks that because a teenager after running away and watching his best friend get mortally wounded, hugs his older brother means that it means they want to suck dicks. They are sexually warped
talk about fucking unempathetic. Ponyboy's best friend died in his arms--he might have been a little distraught about it. But, nah man...it could only be that he was pining for some cock. Let's not forget that those same characters also witnessed another person commit suicide by cop in that novel. Those boys would have all been very very messed up; searching for their sexuality in such a situation is really tone deaf and demonstrates a profound lack of understanding of what is important in life or the effects of generational violence on a psyche.
That's what I mean- they cannot look further than how something affects them. It's the ultimate narcissism. They never see anyone else's viewpoint, they don't even exist. They want them to be faggots so they cook up some weird explanation for it.
I also find it completely unbelievable that two poor kids looking like Matt Dillon or Rob Lowe would be struggling for long. Even back in the early sixties they could have found some lonely woman to take them away from the poor side of town.
