Margaret Mead was bamboozled by some tribesman ( I think some girl children?) in the Pacific, who fed her the garbage that supported her ideology, so I'm not sure what a reliable source she is. But her and her teacher were instrumental in spreading the evil that is cultural relativism, amongst other things.
