Four years ago, the former Thai-boxer was racing on a motorbike on a disused highway west of Pretoria as a double for Milla Jovovich in an installment of the popular zombie action franchise “Resident Evil” when she barreled into a crane-mounted camera. She was left close to death.
Her own words on what happened to her;
2 weeks in a coma, brain bleed, brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed & degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, broken radius & ulna, with an open wound and a 7.5 piece of bone missing, amputated thumb, torn fingers, 5 nerves torn out of the spinal cord…. not my funnest day on set.
Ironically,
Before taking on her role in the ‘Resident Evil” film, she had been a stunt double for Charlize Theron in “Mad Max: Fury Road”
Oh and this happend later except it wasn't even a stuntman, just a crew worker;
A second accident occurred during filming on December 3 when crew member Ricardo Cornelius was crushed to death by one of the film's props, a US Army-issue Hummer, while on set.
But wait, there's more!
Cornelius’ widow Shafiefa gave a lengthy interview to IOL, in which she accused her husband’s local employer All Access Crews of minimizing the injury to obtain identification documents for his treatment.
“[Ricardo’s colleague] called me and said he needs Ricardo’s identity document because he got hurt at work but I don’t have to worry,” she said.
“I couldn’t find his ID so I gave our marriage certificate. When I asked what happened, (he) said Ricardo will have to stay in hospital for a few days
Second attempt posting this.
There have been significant injuries too.
Remember hearing about Olivia Jackson, that Resident Evil "6" stuntwoman whose left arm was maimed?
Well...
Her own words on what happened to her;
Ironically,
Who had an artificial left arm...
