According to bibliotech.us:

All slaves and indentured servants (at least the Hebrew ones) were to be freed. All debt was to be forgiven, and all land was to be returned to its original owners.

Imagine if we had a Jubilee in the U.S. and all non-foreign debts were forgiven. The repercussions and logistics of it alone would be mind-blowing. As would the systems debtors put in place to minimize their losses.
