I mean, yes, it was a conspiracy. A bunch of people got together and conspired to make all this happen.

Any time somebody uses the word "conspiracy" or "conspiracy theory" to mean "incorrect thing", I have a really hard time taking anything they say seriously. It demonstrates a fealty to newspeak, and nobody who falls for media newspeak can possibly be intelligent.
