What isn’t talked about enough is how easily corruptable Covid tests are. The slightest acidity instantly makes a false positive, which is why fruit always tests positive for Covid. This means that anyone with gerd, acid reflux or a similar gastrointestinal condition could easily test false positive on the nasopharyngeal test. The newer models that only go slightly into the nasal are also just as susceptible to non Covid influences. The only Covid test I would trust is one that tests for the spike proteins that form in reaction to the Covid infection.
