The Right's thought process: if they want more women, and anyone can declare themselves a woman, then men declaring themselves women to meet quotas is fair game and opposing it is hypocrisy.
The Left's thought process: we want to help women and minorities. Also trans people are a vulnerable group that is being kept down in society. We should help both. Those people pretending to be what they're not for personal gain are abusers of the system and must be rooted out.
Pointing out hypocrisy does nothing because that never entered the Leftist's thought process in reaching their conclusion. It's about helping women and minorities and the 'underpriviledged'.
If you want to change the culture, start by convincing people that women/minorities should not be helped by society forcibly (individuals may choose to offer any help they wish, but society as a whole should not fund it through force / taxation / money printers.)
Better yet, if you truly want to make a difference, convince people that the weak do not deserve help merely by virtue of being weak. They might be weak individuals who deserve help, or they might not. It is for each of us to do the mental philosophical calculus to determine who deserves our help, and why, based on what we value in said person.
If this sounds cruel and uncaring and against your beliefs, congratulation, you're some of the way to the Left's conclusion.
This is the only way to get it to stop.
