I'm 40 now and have been collecting comic books and baseball/football/hockey cards since I was about 9. I'm sure most of you have heard how sports cards have been booming since Covid started and I was wondering if this was a hobby that could be taken over by the woke mafia like comic books. It is a hobby that is enjoyed by a large percentage of guys so that is one target. I am almost waiting for the headline telling me that baseball cards are "problematic".

They already ruined sports cards when they took the gum out of the packages.
Ha! You know sometimes I’ll come across packs from 80s and 90s with the gum in them and I still chew it. Or rather eat it since it is hardened.
Oh, it was always that hard, trust me. It's just how it was.
I didn't say it was great gum.
Canadian ration packs of the early 80s included boil-in-bag stuff (Magic PantryFreddyChef) along with other stuff, including tubes of spread for the horrible crackers. The cheese spread was off limits at the time, because of a tainted batch that dated to something like 1979 or some crap. This held true the entire four years I was in cadets.
I often wonder if that cheese ban has ever been lifted.
The stuff was meant to be able to be stored for a very long time ...
