Skinheads started off as a working class youth subculture with no real defining political alignment. They like to listen to very black music, too, like reggae and ska. Later on, some started to heavily identify with fascism and white nationalism. That part of the subculture grew and became the dominant public image.
There are still groups out there like SHARP but they aren't as big as they used to be.
