Seriously, it's such garbage.

I might be interested in pro sports if representation meant actual representation - if a city football team was composed of people from that city. That's how it started out and I can see some value in that - you're watching people who live in the same place you do, who might be a lot like you, share your experience, compete with others. You might run into one of those guys in a bar, and watch him show those assholes from the next town over who's boss later! But today, sports teams carrying the name of any city or nation comprise of a bunch of people from all over the place who have no relationship to the place they're supposed to represent, so it's just a farce.

Well, that and the blatant corruption and mishandling of insane amounts of taxpayer money. Fuck your giant stadiums, you can have a mostly flat field and you need to learn to make do with that. Fuck your multi-million salaries, playing sports is a fun activity you do after work for free.
