The Left is a coalition comprised of multiple groups of people with very different motivations.
The black community, for whatever reason, legitimately believes that cops cause violent crime. I guess that's easier than looking in the mirror. When cops are gone, and violent crime increases, nothing is learned - because if this community was capable of learning, it wouldn't be where it is in the first place.
The Marxists know that abolishing police will lead to an increase in violent crime. This allows the Marxists to create new law enforcement in their own image - an authoritarian leftist militia that ruthlessly enforces Marxist doctrine. Marxists don't care about the black people who will be victimized by this process. Their lives are nothing measured against the revolution.
The capitalists know that abolishing the police will destroy these communities - and that's the point. You crush the local economy, tank the property values, and then make billions on the recovery. And "recovery" is not synonymous with healthy and prosperous communities. The government will pay developers billions to create subsidized housing and urban infrastructure, neither of which actually help anyone.
