Copyright and Trademark are two areas under making exclusive use of created works. I can't comment about the Lupin the 3rd stuff as I barely know about the series outside of the few episodes I've seen during the old days of broadcast TV and I have no idea about the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as I haven't seen past the second season.
