Media and the left wants you to think that but why has, say, New Orleans been largely untouched by the riots? Outside of Atlanta the south has been pretty peaceful.
I think it has a lot to do with how integration was forced on the south and we've just figured out how to live together. The north never really bothered.
The largest Klan groups were based in Indiana and Illinois but you'll never hear about that from today's media.
