What makes this especially suspicious to me is the fact she is who she is.
This woman lived for talking about this whole topic. How likely is it she completely accidentally got pregnant right after she got what she wanted and could abort? I would think that if you advocate for something, then you must have had done your research and know everything there is to know about the topic.

Like if anyone is supposed to know all about contraceptives, the effectiveness, the dangers, maximising safety, etc. then it's someone whose arguments should heavily involve knowing those facts.
