One of my cringiest Reddit moments (and there are a lot, since it’s Reddit), is when Matt came onto a KiA thread and tried making fun of himself.
It was just really sad (not trying to be mean, I meant his bad self-deprecation actually made me feel sorrow for him).
The way you say that makes me think of when I saw bits of an episode of "The Apprentice," where a guy calls himself white trash, which is ultimately what led to Trump firing him from the group.
I get you. It's kind of like how I feel really bad for MovieBob. The dude is a severely overweight, socially retarded, forty year old who is still ruled by high school narcosis and memories of being bullied, and who (I'm not being snarky when I say this) I genuinely think has never kissed a girl. But then, you remember what a vicious, bitter snake he is, and the sympathy passes.
But Matt's toadying and backstabbing is less like a bitter snake, and more like a scabby mutt that used to be healthy and petted by the neighbourhood children, but is now mangey and desperately seeking the affection he used to get. He's too sad and inconsequential to hate.
Ohhh yeah, I member that. I forget what it was about but yeah that was pretty, yeah it went way past cringe
