They are dealing with a thoroughly poisoned topic due to 40 years of alarmism being absurdly wrong on every prediction. Even Al Gore was caught on tape raging a few years ago that bringing up "climate" in any context was an instant turn off and dismissal of the speaker.
They also can't help being hypocrites of the highest order. This isn't even similarly farcical as someone wearing a mask behind an anchor desk sitting all alone. This is a multimedia conglomerate draining more coal-sourced electricity and generating more heat through their stage lights in a single night than any person can hope to in a year of their home energy usage.
They fly in their private jets coast to coast on a weekly basis or more consuming more fuel and expelling more exhaust in a month than joe-average will in multiple lifetimes.
People see this when they look at them. Saying 'green' every two seconds isn't convincing, it's shamanistic marketing to an empty choir.
