If they haven't moved on yet, I don't see them moving on until the unquestionable priests that are our politicians say it's okay.
You'll have fearmongering when they show people gathering. Lots of warnings that this will cause cases to spike in the near future and everyone will die. When the cases don't spike and not everyone dies, it won't be reported. But most will forget they were told those things specifically and instead only remember the fear the warning gave them. It's been this cycle for over a year.
But I'm a pessimist. Maybe everyone is actually tired and just needs a push.
