How do you respond to people who tell you that you are being selfish if you don’t treat Covid like the zombie apocalypse where millions are dying each day?
I live in Texas and the governor recently lifted the mask mandate. Now a lot of businesses will still require them but so many people are freaking out and local news agencies are only talking to “experts” that think this is a horrible decision. I fear this may cost him the election because now the local and national media will go into hysterics over any cases let alone deaths.
And of course now there are people posting on Facebook that they choose to wear a mask. So virtuous and brave. To me it’s counterproductive to make a fuss at a store about it so I wear it where required but I’m very comfortable going without one.
The really selfish people are the old cunts who will die anyway in the next 5-10 years, who made the rest of society take out huge loans, who didn't have enough children to pay for their pensions and to take care of them ALREADY and who force other people's children to take on the loans, so that they can shit and piss for another couple of years of misery. If you are old and unhealthy, please die. Not for me, not for my non-existent children - but for everyone born today. Because not having grandparents is a small price to pay, when the other option is your parents having long term anxiety, dealing with unemployment and growing up in poverty.
