Is it just me or does Twitch artificially promote female streamers?

I got a new Twitch account to get the drops from watching a stream, and I just noticed all the suggestions for it are female streamers with sub 10k viewers, playing games I don't care about.

No, it's just me. This account is literally only subbed to the official Rocket League channel and none of my recommendations are playing that game, but these suggestions are totally real and organic.
