I'm a bit disappointed that Odysee videos don't get embedded in the thread when posted. I guess it can't be helped, given that I'm always going to post alternative media over youtube.
This video is from Upper Echelon Gamers, a channel that obviously normally covers gaming reviews and industry news. I would not be surprised if he was one of us, since he seems like he would fit right in.
As the title implies, this video is about what he sees as the reason for society in the USA tearing itself apart.
That may be something the devs add at some point. I checked communities.win to see if maybe they had a feature request post or something it could be added to, but there's nothing like that. I've been around since before KiA2 was on this platform and they are usually super-receptive to trying to work in features that people want. I wouldn't be surprised if there's just so much on the list for a small dev team that they've had to tune some things out as the community grew.
I had problem at first getting an Odysee link to play yesterday until I screwed with some browser settings. The downside of having to run add-ons to block all the crap on the internet but I got it working. It wasn't a site I'm familiar with.
is Odysee like Bitchute or is it a website to see youtube videos without giving youtube any traffics or clicks?
No, it's a full YouTube alternative, similar to BitChute. Odysee is the official LBRY frontend. They used to use LBRY.tv as the main frontend, but wanted an upgrade. LBRY is, as I understand, something of a P2P/blockchain style video hosting site, and people can actually build their own frontends if they want. Odysee is just the official one.
From what I've seen, I really like it. It's got a lot of nice features, and a working search. It seems like they still haven't added playlists, though, unless I'm missing something. But, yeah, Odysee seems pretty damn cool and promising.
