I tried posting this to KiA, but I never realized how many KiA Prime people are blue pilled thinking things will go back to normal after this.
Seeing how most of you here are far more aware of what's going on, I'm going to copy pasta what I posted on Prime before the dumb mods deleted it since most of you aren't rabid TDers but also understand the "bigger picture":
My original post below.
So all the things we warned about 6 years ago has more or less come to fruition, and the safeguards and actions we took to keep it from getting worse has more or less been removed or neutralized to allow unethical behavior, blatant biased news that denigrates gamers and other arbitrary groups is now everywhere. Every gaming urinalist and game development outlet has an Anita Sarkeesian type or 10 working for them. Reddit went from a place where disparate ideologies could bicker with each other to a site where small pockets of "The resistance" (moderates, conservatives) are allowed to stay quarantined in certain areas but the ideological moderation is rampant in other subs.
Youtube, Twitter, etc., the stuff the normies consume that aren't alt-tech have now openly abused Section 230 in open defiance of the current administration. The mask has come off, and we've run out of options at this point at any possible way to enforce full on freedom of expression and speech under the law.
Where do we go from here?
We have alt-tech, but as many of you have realized, alt-tech popularity undermined by the mainstream outlets that try to demonize them. We now have a giant ideological chasm between us moderate lefties and right wingers and the establishment "liberals". It's unrepairable, so where do we go from here?
All the things you "consoom" has been tainted by this stuff. You can only resort to removing yourself from that pool so much until it comes to a point where you are essentially isolating yourself from society, so where do we go from here? If everything has SocJus, if everything has TOSes that violate freedom of expression, then what is left to turn to?
What is practical that we can do tomorrow while continuing our everyday lives on this bucket of a planet we call Earth?
Alright, I'm not giving ground to communists and I'm not moderating surrender-monkies, even if one of you might be French or something.
Here's what we need to do, and yes I need your help.
I know plenty of you haven't done much in the way of video games, but we really are going to build our way out of all this. Yes, the Left is going to do stupid shit, but that stupid shit and oppression is only going to further blow-back. And we should take full advantage of that.
Their collapse must be our gain. The fight is not over, just like it wasn't 6 years ago. The fight is clearly far from over. Even in the event of a Civil War. There is not going to be any KIA2 RWDS. Our niche is video games and that is where we must work. and that's a good place to work.
Look, we know they're targeting children with misinformation, lies, and degeneracy (even if we all have disagreements on what that degeneracy is). The kids are clearly not gonna be alright, but they're also going to be rebellious (as we've already seen with some of the corporate BLM nonsense).
We need to effectively provide pro-American, pro-Western, masculinized spaces for young men, and at this point probably pro-feminimity spaces for young women to combat Feminist indoctrination. With the destruction subversion of previous socialization centers (like unions, churches, and sports teams) we must provide an alternative for anti-Leftist community orienting. We must help people re-moralize.
Since the enemy has seized institutions, we will parasitize them for our own objectives, and build anti-parallel institutions to work against the subversion.
However, to do this, you all need to also work on yourselves first. There's too many black-pills and doomers. Resentment is too common place. We must build our way forwards out of the inevitable collapse when it comes, because that will allow us to take advantage of the power vacuum with our own little moral rebellion against Leftism.
Forum growth is certainly part of this, but there needs to be a reason to stay, and more importantly: to stay moralized. This is not to do what T_D did and be hysterical about black pills, but we must cure them and use them to build our own institutions up. We don't need to put our faith in institutions outside of what we construct.
So, moralization.
I don't necessarily think we all need to have the exact same moral code, that would just be a purity spiral that ends in balkanization. But I think religion has some good ideas about maintaining moral orientation over time. Clearly traditions and repetition will work and promote discipline and focus on our moral orientation. I actually like a what I'm doing with the GOTY concept as one instance of that. Once a year is not enough to assert our values. We may need some kind of holiday. A mild requirement (not aggressively enforced) to re-state and re-orient ourselves morally and philosophically in explicitly positive terms. We can't simply define ourselves what we are not, even if we don't all agree. Our community is our little coalition of anti-Leftists, but it can't be to be at each other's throats, even with fervent disagreement. But I think the value in re-stating our moral frameworks regularly is a kind of moral maintenance and commitment that does not undermine our overall cohesiveness.
Community building:
Again, I think the GOTY concept has some value in this. You nominated electors and peers you trust at least tacitly. Perhaps we should continue something like that and tied with the holidays. I jokingly talked about the idea of ceremonial electoral titles like the "The Bararian Lord of eThot Destroyers". Perhaps a tradition on the holidays for nominated electors to engage in some ritual. Once again, a performative step designed to promote amicability among the community as well as re-enforcement of our moral systems. We already have symbolism that we can certainly use, along with cultural history, which is now past half a decade old. In the time span of the internet, we have become a kind of Old Guard. Some of the 15 year olds playing video games today simply have no reference point of things we have lived through without the poison of a Leftist interpretation.
I know it sounds like intense faggotry, but the purpose is the underlying promotion of social good will and inter-connectedness among the forum. If this promotes genuine social relationships that you take with you when you leave, all the better.
Colonization of Gaming Spaces
This one might be a bit tougher. We will have to act more cohesively, and even potentially give our money to people that don't like us. Gizortnik's been ranting about literally colonizing planets on Elite Dangerous, but the idea might not be as silly as it sounds. If we can establish foot-holds in popular games, it will promote growth of the forum generally, but it also allow for the expansion of our moral focii into the vast degenerate nihilistic wastes of gaming. If we have already built up good social connections here, and we move that out into particular games (whether as factions, team, clans, or whatever), this could inspire fans of those games to latch onto both the forum and our moralization efforts, which they will likely be craving from the incessant abuse of Leftist nihilism that is exposed to children and teens. I would warn against hash gatekeeping because expansion and independent moralization must be the objective of these groups. We must effectively replace the social institutions that the boomers lost, and that we have yet to form. That way, the Zoomers can replace us, and take the fight going forward.
Even if we don't like some of the games, some games will be so popular that it might be valuable to contribute a community to them anyway. Pulling people out of shitty games & shitty companies, and re-directing them towards (once again) our moral support network and better games anyway.
Decentralized inter-locking support systems
Once we've got external spaces, then these spaces will be able to co-operate and mutually support one another. The Left understands this "intersectionality". A pact of mutual assistance between aggressive Leftist tribes that respond to calls for aggression and momentum to overwhelm a static target. However, if our forces can support each other in defense of Leftist aggression (which is inevitable no matter where we go), especially if our social support systems reach beyond single points of contact here in the forum, and extending to specific individuals trusted in the community; it would be very hard for leftists to break the defense network even if they took down this very site.
Okay, yes. Bad things can still happen. But let's not kid ourselves: we are only capable of certain things, and our niche is video games. We are not going to upset the entire establishment by shit-posting them to death. Let us hold the line on video-games, here. Who but us could even try this? Even the kids being targeted by Leftists in video games today will not do this because they do not understand the greater conflict they are inadvertently embroiled in.
Let us come here and center ourselves, build ourselves, and then help others build themselves. If the left exists to promote and support bio-lennism, we must counter that by building strength, first in ourselves, then helping others to build it in them.
That's the plan I'd like to try.
I like the way you're thinking, and these ideas have merit. Community is so damn important, and it feels like the battlefield so to speak is ripe for an opportunity like this. I've always liked leading by example and it's a matter of organizing to do so more effectively.
Tell us more!
but my hands hurt...
If you like leading by example, then that will be great. Start building an institution and lets try to support that initiative.
Thanks DoM. This is why I asked. I'm not a fan of the "head in the sands" mentality but it really does sound like we need to regroup.
This is why I asked on KiA Prime but all I got were "just do the same things we were always doing", but all that did was just slow down where we're at.
I just had a conversation with a friend of mine on this. He's 25. He hates the Corona lockdowns, but he's absolutely baffled that the people AROUND him are blue pilled and stuck in the matrix. He just released himself from the Matrix. They just repeat MSM talking points and refuse to see the damage the lockdowns has caused. He realized there was no hope for his peers.
So what is he deciding to do? He knows a lot of kids in a video game he plays and he's talking and chilling with them, and also sliding in a little bit of that pro-nationalist rhetoric. He actually thinks much like you - the kids he's hanging with are 10-16 years old, and he figured if he can't save the idiots around him, the ones younger than him could listen, and he's making progress.
That is basically what I'm going for.
That point on not being demoralized is spot on and I was at least trying to say that without saying it in one of my comments. If we allow ourselves to not have the correct positive outlets and get totally demoralized, they win and it's over. That's what they want.
I like the thought about being focused (on games in this instance) where at least perhaps you can do something. I've not been around this community long, but I'd definitely be down to join in on online games and such, the only reason I ever quit is my friends got out of it and the general community was horrible. General caveats, I have none of this "skill" so if there's a grand dream of being elite competitive uh yeah you won't get that with me, and no I will not play yet another battle royale game.
I've piddled around with making a throwback website celebrating games I loved growing up and encouraging checking out older games and things that still hold up. Maybe I need to revisit that, I've got a lot of content worked out but crap if I didn't figure how quickly how many layers of rust there were on my website building skills.
Edit: if you see this, I forgot, how is the GOTY going? Still happening? I'd been reading the post for electors only and forcing myself to not start spouting opinions but it's gotten buried or I can't find it.
See, but this is why I think this is totally good, though.
I pay attention to my replies. And it getting buried is part of the reason I'm okay with it. Give the electors a little bit of privacy to make the decision. I think we've got 6 of the 12 responding now. We'll see about how the weekend goes.
We're going to honestly have to merge into those to be honest. If a Civil War kicks off, we'll have no way to secure internet territory without doing the underground routine.
