you know its only recently that i found out that "nationalism" was apparently considered a "dirty word". i dont know if i didnt pay attention to politics enough before or not, but i always thought nationalism was normal until trump said it and then there was so many people that got angry with it i was like ....what....?

You should see how they teach nationalism in schools now. I'm 18 and on my last year of high school (thank fuck) and nationalism is like history textbooks' buzzword and boogeyman. It's like the education system doesn't want Americans to be proud of their country or something.
