Chinese flooded them with their botnet and whined about it. At least that's what I expect "many messages from gamers" is. Sucks, as on the rare occasion I picked up a PC game that's about the only place I got it.
Being stuck with nothing but a bunch of evils. I'll just keep with my policy of waiting out for the 80+% off sale. I've gotten to the point that $10 is my target price on most games with some going as high as $20 if I really think I'll like it. Funny enough, I often end up enjoying something I got for $2-3 dollars more than $20 anyway.
Extra bonus, I found a bunch of CDs over the weekend too from when I was in high school me and a couple friends basically had a game copy party. Lot of Dosbox and SCUMM stuff that will be super easy to get running and I love old games. Crazy I'd been hanging on to this stuff for close to 20 years and a lot of it I've never played.
Or it's just a lie. Why should any message from a gamer stop them releasing a game. Just don't buy it.
