Roguelike seems to be the new oversaturation genre by lazy indie devs.
I don't blame them. When done poorly you just add a bunch of randomizer elements than overcrank the difficulty. Boom people will play and think themselves cool.
I prefer platformers just as a general preference. But I think the consistent trend is "make it harder so people think its better" to points of stupid.
