The only hint in CNN’s article that something is off is this sentence:

Although they represent a smaller proportion of total suicides than men, the number of women taking their own lives is increasing.

I had to find the stats myself. 2019 statistics per 100 000: men 22.9; women 9.4

So the suicide rate among men is more than double that of women. Fuck off CNN
