So I saw that Ellen Page is going to star in a show about an all lady e-sport team that has to deal with ......... sexism and it will also touch on gamer game. Clearly this show will be the typical woke garbage that passes for entertainment these days but it could made into a fun drinking game. I could get some beers and take a drink each time an “evil” white male talks down to them or take a drink each time they check off some usual sjw feminist talking point.
I’m convinced that gaming companies today have a major problem accepting that the majority of gamers are male. There are plenty of great female gamers but the majority is still male. Also I’ve talked to a lot of female gamers and guess what? They like talking about games. I hate to gatekeep but if you can’t shut up about diversity/representation in a game or comic book you aren’t a real fan.
One of the biggest annoying things about them is when they start whining about art. When the female character (DRAWING) looks hotter (especially the big scary boobs) than them usually and they start whining about it with the typical arguements "its harmful, harmful for girls, bad expectations, male gaze , unrealistic, " etc. etc. you know the drill. And i just tell them upfront. Stop being jealous of drawings. they try to deny it but they always make it obvious that its all to do with jealousy.
And it is also absurd because they act like women don’t like seeing an attractive man or men don’t like seeing an attractive woman. I remember reading how a large number of women went to see aqua man because of Jason Mamoa. I was like I’m so shocked. Straight women like seeing an attractive man.
People enjoy attractive characters in general. Any who would complain about art is almost always about jealousy (or in a few cases cause they got indoctrinated by the cool aid). Freedom of art is always important but they want to police it and i hate that.
That why I’m glad I grew up in the 90s. Sure they over produced comic books but it was pre woke era. When did they start making an uproar about it? I only noticed it in the last few years. Now it seems like if you draw a female character that looks the least bit feminine the Twitter mob goes after you.
I always think gaming is just something normies picked up for social cred.
I'm such an anti-racist nerd XD
In 2020 you need to signal wokeism I guess.
