What you call 'hyperempathy' is just narcissism. "Look at me guys, I'm so great I totally care about everyone but myself because I'm so awesome. Congratulate me on how great I am guys because I care about literally everyone." When in reality they couldn't give a flying fuck about anyone but themselves and completely forget what they were faking their tears about as soon as they get off social media.
