He’s been in the hospital for almost a month (June 14th). His wife has been hiding in China (no next of kin to tell them to pull the plug). The Hill posted and retracted an obituary for him “Do Not Use: A lookback at Mitch McConnell’s time in the Senate”. Desiree Townsend is also reporting he is braindead.
If he can be kept alive by machine until sometime in August or September (can’t find the exact date) then there will be no sudden and immediate special election where a certain someone could run for his senate seat in KY without the GOP establishment having enough time to mount a serious counter campaign and get the boomers riled up.
I’ve seen a lot of economic stuff recently with cars specifically, and I wonder about who is actually making these horrific choices en masse. Obviously every demographic will have a set of people who have zero financial literacy or get very unlucky with the timing of a wreck at a bad financial spot in their lives, but I just can’t imagine that the average working class to middle class White American is the one providing the bulk of stupid car purchases with these awful or predatory loans. The White people in trouble I see are either upper middle class liberal women overextending to flex an electric car (and not doing any research lol) or a lower class White man who wants a big truck that won’t leave the pavement, and they aren’t that big of a group overall.
So are the idiots who support the car market’s insatiable greed composed mostly of financially illiterate immigrants? How much of our economy is based on helping the financially illiterate dig deeper holes?
Many people are rightly lambasting Pam Bondi for being an idiot and being unable to do anything on Epstein. But her most recent meltdown involving Massie has me rethinking the old conspiracy about the men in black suits.
The classic rumor is that you get elected to an important position (or appointed in this case) and go to DC and pretty soon you have your standard orientation. After that, however, you get sat down by some middle aged men in non-descript black suits that tell you what things are really going to happen, what you can and can’t do and the potential consequences if you don’t follow their “advice”. For the longest time I assumed this was just fake, and real attempts at change were stalled by various unelected bureaucrats, slow processing by clerks, or shot down by uniparty judges, you know the real power in this country.
But with how Pam Bondi looks terrified about the Epstein stuff, I’m starting to believe soon after she got into office the real people running America sent some gentlemen to explain that she will not be, in fact releasing any truly critical Epstein information unless she’d like for her family and friends to end up in a true crime series or have an “unfortunate accident”.

Coinciding with a top Chinese military official giving nuclear secrets to the US, there has been a rumored coup attempt, lots of arrests and executions, the whole nine yards. Xi was tipped off a few hours beforehand apparently. Goes to show the power of intelligence agencies, even your joint chiefs of staff can’t pull off a coup without them.
