Yesterday, after work, I went to the store to take just the flu shot, told the person injecting me to give me an extra bandage, which was branded with the logo of the store, put that bandage on in the bathroom, and went home.

Mom asked me where I went, I told her I took the shots, showed her the bandages, she asked if I had my card, I said I did but she never asked for it, and then I went on with my day.

I’m still waiting to see if the shoe drops and she asks to see my card within the next few days, but if that happens, I’ve taken all of you guys’ advice into account, but so far I’m good.

I did it this way mainly because my appointment time, but Mom wasn’t mad or anything that I went without her, last night was just a bit hectic, but hopefully it’s over for now. I’m still looking for places to move, as I definitely don’t wanna deal with this again, but damn, I didn’t know that lower income housing had waiting lists.

Reading the comments of the people who want it suppressed and didn’t get mass downvoted, I ran into something common:

They want it banned because they believe that the society that they want is completely incompatible with that content existing, or that banning said content is completely consistent with 1A because the US existed for almost 200 years without such content (porn in general, lolisho really only got over here because of anime becoming a sensation) being mass distributed throughout the country.

Going back to lolisho specifically, there’s no way to get around the fact that sexual lolisho art depicts children in sexual situations, and I personally don’t believe that anime looking like it does matters, because that’s still a human out there, so the reaction to it is gonna be what it is regardless. The discussion tends to be a lot more…focused and less calling people authoritarians and pedos when we actually address the elephant in the room, so I might as well do it in the main post instead of a comment.

Needed to make this a main post for the sake of visibility, but in general, I think reset the clock did a lot more damage than help, because of the fact that people believe that the only reason you could ever be against a certain thing, is because you’re engaging in it yourself, when we know for a fact that isn’t the case.

To be specific, it is very much possible to be against loli/shota porn and not be an IRL predator. People like Ableist forget that, while I’m not against it existing per se, I understand why certain places would ban it altogether, and I would actually like for Ableist or anyone else to actually post the specific places where “governments ban loli/shota porn and waste police resources” where people have actually been arrested for the sole possession of that fictional content, because as much as you say that, I’ve never seen it. Unless that’s like a European thing, I’ve generally never heard of that before.
