Posting this, because Cole Nasrallah shared her story on the GamerGate hashtag on Facebook in October 2014. The post went almost entirely under the radar though, now Cole tells her story over video for the first time.
I've not read as many sci-fi books as I'd like, but can definitely recommend The Culture books by Iain M Banks. They're intricately plotted stories with interesting main characters and themes. The universe follows a number of mostly standalone stories from people mostly at the fringes of a borderline utopian, highly libertarian civilization. Consider Phlebas and The Player of Games are great character-driven introductions to the universe.
I also find first contact stories interesting, though I haven't found as many good ones as I would like. Contact by Carl Sagan is pretty solid, though I'd love to hear recommendations.
As for TV and movies, I like a wide variety of things and have a huge variety of tastes. If I had to pick a favorite type though, I'd say very dark and somewhat political shows, namely Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica. But I'm also down for more light-hearted stuff like Firefly, Star Trek and Star Wars.
She still makes YouTube content and runs a podcast / radio show.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had reached out to him very early on in the project, but didn't hear back. I can try to follow up, he may have just missed the message.
I do believe that Donald Trump has very openly demonstrated many authoritarian inclinations and that his attempts to overturn the last election in order to remain in power were dangerous for our democratic system.
I don't know if you all care about this, but I reuploaded an ancient piece of lost history that happened to survive. This is a debate from November 2017 that happened to have survived, between myself (pro-GG) and Mist Sonata (anti-GG). Hope you find it enjoyable.
What do you think I'm missing about the subject?
True. I don't have that much interest in commenting here. Plus I am very busy with the project.
Trump did try to steal the last election and remain in power after losing. He also did attempt to extort the President of Ukraine to for dirt on Joe Biden. These are factual statements.

We definitely don't "need" them, but unfortunately they were part of the GamerGate story and I feel it's important to document that.
Yeah, he hosted several GamerGate livestreams back in the day.
Thanks, is the audio better now?
Discussing GamerGate as more of a historical phenomena to be studied.
I'm not interested in discussing anti-SJW sentiment as an ongoing phenomena. My role here is more that of a historian or journalist.
Probably a lot of things, but based on the front page, there is a heavy focus on anti-SJW sentiment and conservative politics. Which is fine, I'm for free speech and people having their own communities. But I'm not especially interested in that stuff.
I'm happy to answer questions about the project. I'm not especially interested in participating in other capacities here though. I probably disagree with a lot of what KiA2 stands for, but this project is related to something a lot of people here care about. If you don't want me to share and discuss the project here, let me know.
No, I wrote a GamerGate book, GamerGate: First Battle of the Culture War. This book of interviews will be my second book.
That's a pretty shitty thing to say about someone for no reason.
