It's all seem to be people running around yelling and screaming MSM narratives and you can't say anything otherwise. Was it always this bad? I'm a long term Steam user but only discovered Steam's forums a year and a half ago. Was it always uber left?

They often when make PC projects seem to think we all want to learn Bash or Python and fiddle around with a bunch of damn dependencies to run a simple program or mod for a game/project. Furthermore often wind up being dicks about it if you call or ask for help on figuring it all out if you are new to it all.
Microsoft is also now on board with this mindset where they break things with every update and make you do work arounds for simple stuff and you have to figure out what went wrong.

We windows users don't want to fuss for hours to get one stinking program to run! That's the whole point of Windows and why we use it and NOT Linux or Python 3.55 OS or RedHat/Blue Hat or Terminal Plus.etc

Github users don't seem to realize we all want a simple EXE so we can just devote our time to actually you know RUNNING and learning how to use said program or mod instead of wasting time and finding out something is wrong in some dependency that may or may not be outdated and obsolete.

If your a new comer you will most likely get your threads deleted/locked too if you don't follow the herd mentality.

Did PC demo stations at either dedicated computer stores or places like Circuit City/Sears used consumer grade computers as their floor model or where they specially modified for the store in any way that made them stand apart?

Dad and I used to play on computers at stores while Mom did the boring stuff or I would play on them when Dad did boring stuff when I was a kid (we had a computer for me also in the early 90s which Dad almost got the internet (Netscape Navigator) to work on Windows 95 but our mountain town didn't have good service so it kept crashing when connecting and I think once the Microsoft page loaded).

We had a lot of good software including half of the good edutainment stuff. There was both stupid edutainment where it treats you like your retarded and good edutainment software that encourages kids to explore and learn instead of talking down to them.

We still have several CD's of Microsoft Products. Here's a video of MS CD Sampler First Edition which I never saw. We had the one after. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiBSNmrc75g YES you could go to any store just about and find some or most of these fine products.

Sears had several rows of PC software (not games) though they had those too and computers you could demo to your hearts content. I miss both dedicated computer stores and stores that simply sold computers (not necessarily their main deal) such as Sears and Circuit City.

Our very first computer was from Computer Warehouse in Chico and they got shut down by MS for selling stolen Windows. To make a long story short Dad reported it when we had Windows NT for our machine and it gave Dad a message saying it was a pirated copy after he activated it and told him to report the seller which he did. A month later the store vanished.
