I watch a lot of older sitcoms with my mom. And watching them there are shows set in NYC, LA, or another metropolitan area. But there's shows set in the suburbs and rural areas. When did the switch to everyone lives in an apartment in NYC or LA?
I feel like it's a purpose full attack on the South and the Midwest.
I was flipping channels and passed by 101 scariest movie scenes on IFC. They were discussing Don't Breathe, specifically the turkey baster scene. One of the commentators said horror, especially films, are intrinsically feminist. What are y'all's thoughts on feminist horror? Does the final girl trope prove horror is a feminist playground?
