I avoid modern western media, but I recently ended up binge watching Carnival Row at a friend's house.

It starts out with the usual pozzed anti-white X-Men knock-off setup that we've seen a million times before; the oppressed minority with the magic powers held down by the vastly more populous human society. There's even Blonde haired, Blue eyed woman who falls for confident, powerful black magical-minority-man to the humiliation of a pathetic, cowardly white male.

...And what follows from that opening is, somehow, the least insane piece of political media propaganda I've seen in decades. Don't get me wrong, it's still left wing, but it's a fucking rewind back to 90's era leftism, if not earlier.

After I'd watched it all, I was left wondering how the hell this thing managed to get funded, because there's no way a shitlib can watch this without quietly seething.
